Every Foundation staff meeting, the team begins with what they are most grateful for. A small gesture that reminds us to take a moment to step away from the emails and phone calls to acknowledge one another. Not only for the good work we do, but for who we are as humans and what we mean to each other on a deeper, more personal level.
I am grateful for that reminder.
We are in the midst of a global pandemic. As a nation, our lives are being rearranged, priorities are shifting, narratives are ever-changing, and work is being impacted. We are ALL experiencing this uncertainty together, and as a Family Foundation dedicated to listening and responding to the needs of others, we want to acknowledge those organizations who are taking care of the most vulnerable.
I am grateful for them.
I am grateful for my family for supporting their work and stepping up to support them through immediate funding.
I am grateful for our Foundation staff who will work with them to make the greatest impact.
