American Explorers Student Liaison
Fernando Serrano is a student liaison for American Explorers, a program of The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. In this role, he coordinates and executes direct services for Atlanta Public School youth, families, and administration. Additionally, he aids in developing recruitment strategies and retention of first and second year scholars for the program.
Fernando graduated from Young Harris College with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He conducted several projects in environmental science at Young Harris College, The Tennessee Aquarium, and Georgia Department of Natural Resources. In addition to research, he also spent two years serving as a college admissions counselor for his alma mater.
Fernando loves Atlanta United FC and is a huge fan of astronomy. He is convinced that aliens do not exist.
