Jacoria Borders graduated from Florida A&M University in 2015 with a degree in Allied Health Sciences and earned her Master’s in Public Health from Morehouse School of Medicine in 2017. A Servant Leader and Fundraiser, Jacoria was elected Executive Vice President of the Student National Alumni Association, Chaired FAMU Relay for Life, and was appointed to serve in the Executive Branch of the Student Government Association as Surgeon General. Additionally, Jacoria founded the first student-led giving campaign and the first student-led health initiative at Florida A&M University. In total, Jacoria raised $60,000 for causes, programs, and initiatives during her senior year.
While at Morehouse School of Medicine Jacoria was elected President of the Student Alumni Association, and starting the first student-led giving campaign at Morehouse School of Medicine. Additionally, Jacoria interned for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in Cincinnati Ohio, and House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams at the Georgia House Democratic Caucus.
Most recently, Jacoria served as the Georgia Events Manager on the Stacey Abrams for Governor Campaign where she raised approximately $4 million managing over 100 special events and fundraisers in Georgia. Jacoria had the opportunity to manage surrogate events with John Legend, Will Packer, Senator Kamala Harris, Senator Cory Booker, Congressman John Lewis, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, and was a site lead for the “Our Georgia Rally” with President Barack Obama.
Jacoria resides in Atlanta and is a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church.
