Loucha Simon-François

American Explorers Student Liaison

Loucha Simon-François currently serves as a student liaison with The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation’s American Explorers program, where she equips and coaches parents to best meet their children’s educational needs and goals. Loucha is also tasked with the training and development of the Foundation’s Westside Ambassadors program, a youth-focused employability skills training and job internship program with Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Loucha has more than 15 years of experience in higher education in various positions supporting both incoming and current student populations in areas including admissions, financial aid, program development and human resources. She also served as a Director of Financial at DeVry University and Coordinator at the University of Florida.

Loucha became very interested in helping students from under-served communities and found an opportunity to do so through the AmeriCorps program and Hands on Atlanta before transitioning to working with high school students. She’s spent the last five years leveraging her extensive financial aid background to guide students, parents, counselors, and community organizations on strategically maneuvering the college admissions and scholarship process.

When she is not connecting students to opportunities, Loucha is spending time with her husband and daughters. She also has an endless love for travel, food, and culture.
