Grant From Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation To Help Veterans And Their Spouses Find Employment
In 2022, the Overwatch Fund (administered by the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation) provided a $250,000 one-year grant to Hire Heroes USA, an organization that empowers US military members, veterans, and their spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce.
The #1 requested service from transitioning military members is employment assistance. Hire Heroes USA provides numerous services such as free personalized one-on-one coaching and mentoring, professionally revised resumes, access to veteran job boards/career fairs, and so much more. Through this grant, an estimated 175 veteran and veteran spouse clients will receive these free services.
Approximately $100,000 of this grant will be earmarked for outreach, increasing awareness and impact of Hire Heroes USA specifically in Georgia. A focused outreach in Georgia would result in more than 2,000 military members registering for services.
