She additionally helped nurture the foundation’s relationship with ESPN and numerous celebrities, athletes, and coaches, and led the charge for its 15-, 20-, and 25-year anniversary milestones. A trusted strategic advisor to the foundation’s leaders and board, Sherrie diplomatically guided the foundation’s first brand refresh, creating a bold new look and feel that respects the organization’s storied legacy while positioning it for the future. She additionally helped the foundation pivot its crisis communications multiple times as the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded, reminding donors that the fight against cancer never stops.

Earlier in her career, Sherrie held marketing and communications roles at the International Society of Automation as well as at consumer products and commercial leasing companies. In these early roles, she discovered the joy of turning her passion into a profession and to always be kind and respectful to everyone, regardless of their position in the organization.

Sherrie graduated magna cum laude from Middle Tennessee State University with a BBA in Marketing. Born in Iran and fluent in Farsi, she and her family moved to the US when she was in elementary school. She and husband, Joe, now have an elementary-aged daughter of their own. She has run the New York City Marathon twice and has personally helped raise significant donations for the fight against cancer.
