The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation Grants $100,000 To The Hawaii Community Foundation

In response to the recent wildfires in Maui, the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation today announced a $100,000 grant to the Maui Strong Fund of the Hawai’i Community Foundation (HCF), an organization known for investing in communities to make a better Hawai’i. The funds will address immediate needs and long-term recovery for Maui’s communities affected by the devastating wildfires in early August.

HCF is working to support communities affected by the wildfires through the Maui Strong Fund, providing financial resources that can be deployed quickly, with a focus on rapid response and recovery. HCF is working in close collaboration with state and county leaders, nonprofit organizations, and community members to get an understanding of the quickly evolving priorities.

“With horror and sadness along with the rest of the world, we’ve witnessed the devastation the fires have wreaked on Maui,” said Fay Twersky, president, Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. “Loss of life, displaced families and destruction of property are among the numerous tribulations facing the Maui community. By partnering with the Hawai’i Community Foundation, we are hopeful our support will ease some of the burden where it’s most needed and encourage others to join us in contributing to the Maui Strong Fund.”
