Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation Appoints Tolton Pace As Senior Program Officer, Atlanta’s Westside
Tolton Pace will assume the role of senior program officer, Atlanta’s Westside, with the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, commencing on Sept. 5. Pace joins the Blank Family Foundation from The Home Depot Foundation where he served as manager, strategic partnerships and grant programs.
In his new role, Pace will oversee a range of grants aimed at increasing economic mobility, through financial inclusion and affordable housing, for legacy residents in the English Avenue and Vine City neighborhoods. He will also foster connections with nonprofit partners who share in offering solutions to protect residents’ opportunities to stay in this rapidly changing neighborhood.
“As an Atlanta native and a proud product of Atlanta’s Westside, I couldn’t be more thrilled to step into this role and join the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation,” said Tolton Pace. “Most of my career has been committed to serving the remarkable people and neighborhoods on the Westside, and I’ve also had the privilege of partnering with this dynamic organization during my time with The Home Depot Foundation as a strategic grantmaker. I’m honored and energized to embrace the Blank Family Foundation’s rich culture and begin serving as the new senior program officer for the Westside. Together, we’ll continue empowering Westside residents while driving sustainable change within affordable housing and financial inclusion.”
At The Home Depot Foundation, Pace was responsible for a $13 million annual grantmaking portfolio focused on workforce development, the arts, healthcare, outdoor spaces and veteran related causes.
His professional experiences also include working in philanthropy and nonprofits focused on youth development in Atlanta’s Westside and South Atlanta, including City of Atlanta’s WorkSource Atlanta, The Gifted Education Foundation, Young Life, the Agape Youth & Family Center and Atlanta Public Schools (Project GRAD). Tolton is a native Atlantan and a graduate of Atlanta Public Schools and Emory University.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tolton to the foundation. He brings impressive workforce development and grantmaking experience as a leader within Atlanta’s nonprofit sector. He also brings a unique understanding and appreciation for the Blank Family of Businesses’ Core Values because of his tenure at The Home Depot Foundation,” said Danny Shoy Jr., managing director, Atlanta’s Westside and Youth Development, Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.
