Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation Grants More Than $1.39 Million to Montana Nonprofits

Grants from AMB West Community Fund will support nurturing childhoods, thriving youth, and infrastructure initiatives and programming

LIVINGSTON, MONTANA – August 13, 2025 – In its latest round of grants, the AMB West Community Fund (the Fund), an associate-led giving committee of the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, has committed more than $1.39 million to nonprofits serving communities across Montana to support various community needs.

Established in 2001, the Fund has awarded more than $10 million in grants. The Fund is comprised of associates from Arthur M. Blank’s four ranches in Montana who collectively recommend grants to enhance the quality of life for Montana residents, particularly in Park and Gallatin Counties and Indigenous communities across the state. The Fund visited more than 40 nonprofit organizations across Montana, assessing the landscape of existing programs and the areas of need and opportunity with community stakeholders to identify its priority areas for grantmaking in 2025: thriving youth, nurturing childhoods and infrastructure.

“These grants are a reflection of the care and insight our associates bring to their communities,” said Tawnya Rupe, senior director of Montana Philanthropy, Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. “By listening to local voices and identifying where we can make the greatest impact, we’re supporting organizations that are strengthening communities across Montana.”

Grant Examples:

$20,000 to the Wilsall Foundation for early childhood program support and strategic planning, as it addresses the shortage of affordable childcare in rural communities. Through programming, the Wilsall Foundation aims to improve childcare access, support families and boost local economic resilience.

$66,000 to Park County Senior Center (PCSC) for its Youth Connections Outreach expansion. According to a 2024 Park County Community Foundation Report, most residents (five out of six), want stronger community connections. Youth and seniors share similar struggles, including loneliness and limited interaction. To address this, PCSC is launching a community center focused on intergenerational connection. It will foster a supportive network through shared activities, education and social opportunities.

$25,000 to Day Eagle Hope Project of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation to support its efforts in expanding food security and assisting in sustaining its culturally responsive Drop-In Center. Day Eagle Hope provides essential services and works to empower community members.

About the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation

The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation is a philanthropy founded to help transform lives and communities by uniting people across differences to find common cause. Started in 1995 by Arthur M. Blank, co-founder of The Home Depot, the foundation has granted more than $1.5 billion to charitable causes. Our collective giving areas are Atlanta’s Westside, Democracy, Environment, Mental Health and Well-Being, and Youth Development. Across these areas, we take on tough challenges by uniting the courage and compassion of our communities so we can all thrive together. In addition to the priority areas of giving, the foundation oversees a large portfolio of grants, including support of essential Atlanta nonprofit institutions, such as Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Shepherd Center, and enduring founder-led initiatives, such as veterans and the military and stuttering, among others.
